When measuring your door, always begin from the outside of the property and record the brick to brick opening in millimeters (mm). To find the correct width, take three measurements- at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest of these three figures and subtract 10mm to allow for a proper fit.
Step 2
Measure the height of your opening at three different points right, middle, and left then deduct 10mm from the smallest measurement. If your door has a cill on it begin measurement from the underside of existing cill unless it is a fixed feature such as stone.
Key considerations for a perfect fit:
Outside
Insure all measurements are taken from the outside and brick to brick for most accurate measurement.
Overall size
Please provide the overall size including any cills, couplers or add ons. (Excluding stone cills or when a cill is not required.)
Smallest size
Once measurements have been taken, take the smallest of both height and width and deduct 10mm off them.
